Updated via Update in Settings.....went smoothly this morning all seems fine.....was almost hoping for some problems since I am seriously thinking about a Fresh Install since it has been a long time with a lot of updates on this current install......oh well, if it ain't broke I guess I should not be trying to fix it......LOL

    April 23, 2018 - KB4093105 (OS Build 16299.402)

Applies to: Windows 10 version 1709

    Improvements and fixes

This update includes quality improvements. No new operating system features are being introduced in this update. Key changes include:

Addresses an issue that causes modern applications to reappear after upgrading the OS version even though those applications have been deprovisioned using remove-AppXProvisionedPackages-Online.

    How ironic!!!
They fixed that...and a few hours ago I was asking this question: Reprovisioning a deprovisioned Windows app

There is the Microsoft Update Catalog option if you don't want to wait.

I'll do the manual update soon. I'm curious why it hasn't appeared in WU yet.

That's odd - I'm in UK and both my test PCs (Win 10 Pro) updated yesterday - 25th April. My laptop (Win 10 Home) is just updating now.
Obviously I had to set my advanced settings and Network metering to allow them and "Check for Updates" but that's often the case.

I had Feature Updates deferred for 180 days. I reset the deferred period to zero and I now have this update. It's strange it has been blocked by the Feature Update setting when it's not a feature update. Maybe this is another MS mistake?

My normal settings on my important Pro machines are:

    LAN connection METERED
    Semi-Annual Channel
Feature updates deferred for 365 days
Quality updates deferred for 30 days

Nearly every month I change it to

    LAN connection UN METERED
    Semi-Annual Channel
Feature updates deferred for 0 days
Quality updates deferred for 0 days

then get the updates, then change it back.

I love it - almost as much control as in the days of Win 7

Obviously, the Home machine only offers the Metering option on LAN or WiFi but it's better than nothing. Oh and one of my test machines is left at unmetered, 0,0 - that one gets the updates as soon as they become available.

Actually, that's not necessary. If you check for updates over a metered connection you'll get a 'Download' button that will tell Windows to download the updates over the metered connection.
