Thanks...I'm certainly interested to hear from others who used the fix. No idea why some need the 'fix', while others don't.

Just installed the reg-hack to re-enable "Skip-Ahead." Awaiting reboot and retry via WU.

Don't know if it will work...
What reg hack?? I used to be on skippy, but somehow it reverted to fast ring, and would really like to get back on skippy..

I repeat, maybe, I'm not sure that's the reason.

Trying to update a Hyper-V VM running 17639 to 17650 by running setup.exe off a DVD I burned from an ISO created on another VM. This should work We will see

BTW ahd Hyper-V VM was set to skip just a week or so ago. It still works.

I really wish they would make it so that you could attach a zip file to a drive instead of just an iso in HyperV.

Well I joined Skip ahead right at the start. What are VM's ? Also I have Sets everytime I do an upgrade then it disappears on rebooting several times (or after a few days).

Microsoft is finally working on a dark theme for File Explorer
    Attachment 185447
This is not even enabled in the insider builds yet so it is in a very preliminary state, obviously it looks bad for now, let's wait when it is "officially" enabled in the insider builds...
    It's in the system, (somewhere!!!)
    (enabled via the mach2 Tool)

and, will be easily switchable, from light to dark, via Settings...

Not much to look at yet, though!

Let's see if we get this build this week. 10.0.17656.1001 (rs_prerelease.180421-2256)

The upgrade to the Hylper-V VM proceeded without incident.
