Lol, did I speak to soon. That was a different emoji from the list, one that is not duplicated on the TF own list.

I'm using 17134.1 & no such issue happened. Try to use O&O ShutUp10 & Edge Blocker

FYI, I'm using Google Chrome & disabled Windows Defender too.
Are you using those tools? If so, that's probably why you're not getting these issues.

    I'm using Firefox and while I haven't disabled Defender I don't think that's what's causing this issue.

Could someone with 17134.5 and W10 Pro do me a favor and check something for me? Thank you in advance if anyone decides to help me out.

I'm on 17134.1 and I'm having this issue where the "Let apps run in the background" setting in Settings > Privacy > Background Apps keeps resetting to "On" every time I restart and the "Choose which apps can run in the background" list is blank. I tried disabling background apps via GPO but I'm still having Edge run in the background.

I've heard that this was maybe fixed in 17134.5 but I want some more information.
I'm on Build 17134.5 and checked it, Trashbag. I disabled background apps, shut down, rebooted, checked Privacy and they're still off. BTW, the apps are still there; just grayed out now.

I didn't know my computer was running all that behind my back! Sheesh! Guess I should go back and see if there are any that I should leave on.

There seem to be several people here running 17134.1.

In my experience there was not an automatic or cumulative update via Windows Update.

It is however, a small and quick process to update, not requiring a full download and installation of the April 2018 update to17134.5.

    Download KB4135051 (OS Build 17134.5)

    Windows 10 Update KB4135051 download link 64Bit:

    Code:
    http://download.windowsupdate.com/c/msdownload/update/software/secu/2018/04/Windows10.0-KB4135051-x64_22fd6a942c7b686a5434bcc8dfc87f3379c99437.cab
    Windows 10 Update KB4135051 download link 32Bit

    Code:
    http://download.windowsupdate.com/c/msdownload/update/software/secu/2018/04/Windows10.0-KB4135051-x86_45d15e10592182f60ab716fe83d714ac14b22976.cab
DISM commands to add these cab packages, use either:

    Code:
    dism /online /add-package /packagepath:C:\download\Windows10.0-KB4135051-x86_45d15e10592182f60ab716fe83d714ac14b22976.cab

    dism /online /add-package /packagepath:C:\download\Windows10.0-KB4135051-x64_22fd6a942c7b686a5434bcc8dfc87f3379c99437.cab
Where the path to the downloaded .cab package files in their folder is "C:\download\"

Perhaps this information could be made sticky to save members unnecessary downloads and installation times

    17134.5 isn't a separate build - it is 17134.1 plus cumulative update KB4135051.

You only get this update if you are an insider.

If you aren't (do a clean install say) then you stay on 17134.1 as the cumulative update isn't pushed to non-insiders even if you check manually or use WUMT. If you join insider program it is offered immediately - at least it was to me.

The official date for WU is 8th May, but some have already started to trickle through, (Typical Microsoft), although KB4135051 seems not to be coming through WU yet, but it took a few days with the release preview

Thing is I don't think .5 fixed anything, more of just a test patch to ensure cumulative updates can be applied successfully. If it actually fixed something I would guess Microsoft would roll it out to everyone else.

Has anyone on here used "Swift Connect". It either does NOT work on my rig, or I have something turned off, that isn't mentioned in the setup. I have turned ON every single function they mention is needed, even turned back on some notifications, which I hate. But to no avail, as Swift Connect does NOT connect my BT as it's supposed to, and I end up having to go in and do it manually, as always.
On a positive note, However, my BT keyboard has NOT lost connection since updating to 17133. So 17134.1 and .5 have all done ten million times better with BT stability than any build I have ever been on.
