Is this KB showing in your Update History? It is on 2 I did, but not the third. 3rd one also had that "Retry" issue. Shows in Reliability History, but not Update History or Installed Updates. WINVER say 17134.5
Sort of the same here TC. It installed and history was showing fine, however around an hour later I looked again and it was showing Update Failed so I clicked on Retry, got the message Windows is up to date however the Update History was blank.

You also get other updates slightly earlier - including driver updates, if that floats your boat - I disable driver updates but have not had any issues with the actual technical updates
I never have received driver updates through Windows update.
If I get them it's when I go to Device Manager and search for them(usually for things under System Devices) .

I can see a case for the history being deleted after a major feature update, none of the previous KB's will work anymore, [as they should have been incorporated into the new build, or were only temporary stop gaps], so why list them

Thanks, so I'm not going nuts(ier). Nigel is right, too........same reason your restore points go bye-bye on a new build.

I agree Shawn but considering Microsoft were supposed to be shifting away from the CP and moving it's contents to Settings it seems like a perverse thing to do :)
