    Speculation:

"Officially known as Windows 10 April 2018 Update, today’s cumulative update should be a small update that is usually designed to just remove the Insider markers without adding any new features or addressing any major bug fixes. Considering there is no changelog available yet, it is likely this particular build is only focusing on removing the markers and not addressing any last-minute bugs."

I am not sure if any Insider markers are removed anyway. All users will get this update on release version anyway.

It is quite likely it addressed the default app bug which was probably instrumental on 17134 being delayed.

The patch only arrives if on Insider. Same happened with patch for 17133 if you left Insider (that was possible but leaves build in limbo).
Yes, Martin, agree. I had done that, as many others. Kicked it up to 17133/34, then opted out. I just was not comfortable that all the ET-call-home was gone, or Insider restrictions of some kind buried. I decided to restore my MR image of FCU and play it straight. Just me, I've got 6 flavors of this beast to play with, and didn't need it like that.

Got the same. Installed, restarted, got failed message, clicked on "Retry", and it cleared with it being successfully installed.

KB4135051 will be listed in Programs and Features > Installed Updates.

Just tested this, it's not fixed yet.

Is this KB showing in your Update History? It is on 2 I did, but not the third. 3rd one also had that "Retry" issue. Shows in Reliability History, but not Update History or Installed Updates. WINVER say 17134.5

Yes I had to rejoin to get this patch on my main system, and other one was already in insider, now question is do I stay in Insider Release Preview til Monday, or leave after this update?
I'm just gonna wait until Monday, and then be done with Insiders for a while.

I decided to stay on RP on my main machine, because the next Fall Update is coming, the spring 2019 and so on...
I know I will just keep joining shortly before the "RTM" every time, so, why shouldn't I just leave it on?

You also get other updates slightly earlier - including driver updates, if that floats your boat - I disable driver updates but have not had any issues with the actual technical updates

Un-enrolling insider builds now and will be doing a fresh install of the RTM on Monday.
