It is alleged MS are moving away from the silly Spring Creators Update and intend to call this simply the April Update.

They call it "Windows 10 April 2018 Update".

Perhaps 2018 update 1. There wasn't much creativity in the past couple of updates to warrant such a name.

I am beginning to get really tired of how Windows handles devices and drivers.

I've been fighting with my BT headset issues since yesterday. One minute all works fine and the next it does not. Sometimes even my mouse stops working while playing with the headset.

I have 2 BT headsets exactly of the same make and model. Yesterday HS1 worked like a charm, but today today I've gotten it to work once. The HS2 on the other hand has no issues at all. Works every time I connect them.

I get absolutely NO logs nor entries anywhere that states there was a problem with my device.

When I connect any of the two headsets to a non-Windows computer or device, I have absolutely NO issues.

What the heck is going on?

It might be a 3rd party "thing".

Have you looked in Device Manager, to see if there is a generic driver you might try?

I am confident that this is NOT a driver issue. The same issues occur for any device in Windows, even for software devices that are specifically designed by Microsoft. Only difference is that a headset gets connected and disconnected by the user every now and then while most other devices, once installed and enabled, never get disconnected again.

EDIT: I had this same issue with display drivers at one point. I tried about 20 different drivers for 2 devices and all possible configurations (that is almost 400 different combinations) and they refused to work together. Suddenly any combination started to work like a charm. Makes no sense.

    Just some general Checks :)

    How old are the headsets?

What revision of bluetooth are they using?

Do you have HS1 and HS2 working at the same time?

Do you have any other wireless devices in use, Phones, Amazon alexa, etc

Older bluetooth devices were susceptible to interference much more that the current batch, the same applies to the bluetooth version.
The fact that these are two identical models could mean that the possibility of interference could be increased as the both use the same components.
Bluetooth is susceptible to interference just like any other radio device and with the amount of such devices growing exponentailly these days

Did you take a look at the events tab in properties tab in device manager?
Click the View all Events, and it will open Event viewer for that device, and then you can use Details tab, maybe it might bring something to light.

What about hidden devices in device manager? If the devices aren't passing serial numbers Windows can get all confused and start adding #2, #3, #4 etc...
