First, I think I posted in wrong thread, this should have been in 17650 thread. Apologies for that.

Anyway, in my case trying upgrade on tablet resulted GSOD. Trying upgrade on VM, the same thing. Only after generalizing I got it to work.

Does not really matter which you posted it in as it applied to me in 17134.

Yeah - never one convenient "one size fits all". I would certainly try not to oobe unless it was the last resort.

However, telling other less experienced users how to use vms, oobe ec to update a tablet is going to cause some glazed eyes :-D.

This could form the basis of a good tutorial as I used it on a tablet with very little free space, and adding an 8GB usb drive still did not work. I actually had an old 16GB tablet not used for a while and I was able to get it up to date using the vm/macrium approach. Not that I will ever really use it but I just wanted to see if it could be done without a clean install.

WHOOHOO!!! I finally took the time to dig deep into my Audio issues and now I got it working.

Here were the 2 issues I had:
    1. AUDIODG.EXE produce a lot of error events in combination with the module ICEsoundAPO64.dll
    2. My BT headset connects, but then disconnects and even turn off.

My issue was an Asus installed AudioWizard application, which enables ICE sound enhancements. Removing this useless tool I've never used, everything is working as expected again. :)

But this makes me wonder...what has MS changed so much that it caused this crash?

Now since I got my headset working again, I started to play with Cortana.

Conclusion: She's still quite stupid and forgets the context, although she knows how to open my apps and do other useful things. :)

I find(personally) all these personal assistants programs like Cortana, Siri and co. pretty useless on a desktop PC.

But using them might forward AI research and development, to where they can be useful for handicap people, and environments where you cannot use your hands to type(Astronaut: Cortana take a picture of the Earth, Cortana how is my spacesuits air quality?) Pilot: Cortana, turn that damn collision control siren off!).

    Hey gang,

Just a few questions - i have an .iso of 17134.1 courtesy of Dick. I am on 17133.1 which is running fine on my laptop.

    1) Do i need to reenter Insider's program to install from .iso?

    2) If not, will the install automatically reenter me in the program?

    3) Does installing 17134.1 give you the option of opting out of the program as build 17133.1 did?

    TIA,

    Ray

Ray, I don't believe it will put you back into Insider. Nigel, @Barman58, may be able to confirm because he's running nothing but Release Preview builds. If you are on 17133 now, you should be able to just mount the 17134 and run Setup.exe. Hopefully, someone else can confirm or say nope.

I am running 17134.1 on my three active systems. They came down the pipe yesterday about 23:00 GMT via WU release preview
First one took about fifty minutes, to desktop, others around twice that but that was to be expected as they both arrived together.

No mention of RTM but I think it is the build, seems stable so far
