    One big positive noticed:

MSI's site loads much faster(I mean when you're looking at hardware) with Cloudflare.
It usually has a red loading line at the top, and as you scroll down, the page jumps back up when it finishes loading.
That is really fast, I thought it may of been cloudflare hosted - but it's not.

I've never been there, so no possible leftover clutter. I just did, and it was almost instantaneous!

Benchmarks clearly indicate Cloudflare DNS is faster.

Under normal operating conditions I receive a severe lag at YouTube with Cloudflare.

This is perhaps the first ever "alien" influenced YouTube streaming speed issue in modern history when changing a Domain Name to IP Address Resolving Service...

Me too. Benchmarking (ping) is faster than Google as everyone, everywhere states. When I visit youtube, initial page loads but video takes 4-10 seconds to load. Change DNS back to google and video loads immediate.

Just curious... are you changing both IPV4 and IPV6? Correct order of primary and secondary?

Addresses are here in this post: New Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 fastest, privacy-first consumer DNS service - Page 2 - Windows 10 Forums

Also, just to rule out, at cmd prompt, copy/paste

    ipconfig /flushdns

and enter. Normally, the TTL is 24 hours or so, but might not be clearing all old resolutions.

Using IPV4 only, set in router which performs init at change. Also using DNSSEC.
    Code:
    <30>Apr 19 10:23:41 dnsmasq[12111]: using nameserver 1.1.1.1#53
    <30>Apr 19 10:23:41 dnsmasq[12111]: using nameserver 1.0.0.1#53
Edit: Flushing resolver cache at computer fixed it. Thanks TC.
