That is true, my mouse acts funny in it, I hardly use EDGE anyway.

I see there is a new config version for Hyper-V VMs too.
    Now 8.3.

Hahhah. Sell me a few. I need more bandwidth.

...seriously, Windows sometimes does that with the Hyper-V switches and it can sometimes be a pain to get rid of those. Hope you get it sorted out.

For me the upgrade removed two Hyper-V NICs.

I think it just does it but never tells you. As I understand it, it does not defrag in the classic sense of moving data around, but cleans up the NTFS file system that gets fragmented over time.

There is the legendary Hanselman post that way overhyped this, and reality is mere mortals probably never get anywhere near the limit of NTFS file fragmentation to require NTFS defragmentation, but it seems Windows does it anyway. I am guessing MS do this to ensure a problem never arises (and to avoid any criticism?).
I guess this just means that the FS data structures in MFT are trimmed so that it takes less space and does not contain duplicate addresses. But this is a good thing. Speeds up stuff a lot, because of just single references instead of multiple.

The "some settings......." message is nearly always due to a policy being set in Group Policy Editor, or some regedit that has been done. GPE changes are pretty easy to track down, as the GPE says if a policy is set or not.

Tracking down a regedit though is much harder and practically requires an eidetic memory (unless you are super organised and note down each change).
During upgrade, some of the regedit changes sometimes get reversed, or keys even removed. This sometimes can even lead to the "some settings......" message being removed.

Has anyone else got Driver updates disabled - that's what Mine I posted comes from and the learn more specifically states this

I also have bluetooth back on this system, I had moved the dongle from the back of a desk mounted USB tower, and this had been switched off, It has an autocut off if you remove power whilst still connected to devices, (ie reboot a lot, when upgrading ) Switched it back and good to go :)
