Similar problems on my system with Norton Security. Every thing looks normal and the taskbar icons for WD Security Center and Norton Security show Green check mark. If I open WDSC it shows a warning on the Virus and Threat Protection that the security service is stopped and needs a restart. If I go to Security and Maintenance under Security the only thing showing is User and Account Control. Not Antivirus or Firewall shows. Then is a short time everything clears and it shows Norton in control.
Apparently this update is shutting down the security service and takes a minute or so to turn it back on.

    OK no big deal.
I found that the Security Center service is on an Automatic Delayed Start so is not checking and reporting the status of Anti-virus and Firewall. Since the taskbar icon show green I have never checked the status immediately after startup.

That was fun chasing a problem that does not exist.

Well I've checked for this update for last few hours, and all I get is I am up to date. I'm still on build .309 here. Maybe they pulled it, I don't know...
No, it's still there. Sometimes windows update gets a 'blind spot'. Running the Windows Update Troubleshooter can usually restore normal operation.

    I concur.
I just finished updating my Intel Compute Stick to 16299.334 no more than 3 minutes ago.

I just finished one that I had to use the Offline/Standalone Installer on, seems okay.

Thank you for the info. Seems to take forever to get it showing as an update here in OZ. :)

Why do I have a hunch that all these updates have SOMETHING to do with the upcoming SCU? Because well... all those sudden updates, you know....

This raccoon wonders about it, or is it pure coincidence?

One upon a time about the only time one heard about updates was the cry of the newspaper seller out on the street.

'Update, Update - read all 'abard' it!'

    How things have moved on...

Desktop & notebook are getting it from WU. Tablet says "Up-to-date"? Maybe an issue because tablet is 32-bit?
3 out of 7 computers said "Up-to-date", had to do manually. Had nothing to do with 32-bit or age of computer.

I checked for updates on Lappy around 8:35 last night, Mike, and although I didn't pay close attention to what was going on, when I looked, Restart was waiting for me. I restarted at 9:10 and it was finished by 9:14.

I think if I'd been watching the Lappy, and if I'd seen Restart sooner, the CU would have finished a lot sooner.

I can pinpoint the times because I was skyping with a friend and we were comparing notes. :)
