Sometimes RD Windows.old /s in an elevated command prompt does it. You have to navigate to the root first. If that doesn't work and you need to do it offline. I use the Macrium Reflect recovery disk which has a command prompt you can use to issue the RD command.

    Edit: Thanks.

Easiest way is to delete them by booting from a live linux or Macrium Reflect drive.

Have you checked Task Manager yet in 17120? Here's how it looks when there are child processes that have been suspended

17120 installed "ok" meaning it went pretty fast until 98% and just "hung" there. I gave up after 1/2 hr and had dinner and watched the news came back and the login was waiting for me. Phew! At the moment, everything seems normal.

    Audio service not running.
Yeah, this happened to me as well, along with another person on here and a few people on Reddit. Hopefully someone at MS is paying attention and it gets patched up next build.

    Almost done...

...And they must NOT be listening to feedback, because in the last two flights, there were huge problems with bluetooth devices having a hard time connecting, and then once finally connected, not staying connected. Why can't M$ get their crap together with BT??? Hope it's better here, but since they didn't even acknowledge the problem from last flight, I highly doubt it.
Also, has anyone else recently had issues with graphics cards not initializing after updates? The past three insider preview builds including this one, I have had to wait until my PC made its "I'm here" noise, give it another 10 minutes or so to ensure it's completed boot operations, then manually power off and back on to get my video back. I'm using an older AMD/ATI Fire GL card, with DVI and DP connectors with HDMI adapters, but still, seems it should pretty much just work. Worked before the past few builds, at any rate.

Update: new "Known issues" added for build 17120.

[ADDED 3/14] On PCs with Dolby Access app installed and expired Dolby Atmos, the Windows Audio service (audiosrv) crashes with a stack overflow exception and the PC won’t have sound. A workaround is to uninstall the Dolby Access app to get sound back.
