Well, all this CONTROVERSY over the name, leads me to ask how is controversy pronounced i.e CONTRO-versy or CONTROV-ersy?

Sad to see the BBC increasingly using the former!

I fully agree! Rename Windows to just Windows and keep track of versions with just the 1709, 1803, 1809, 1903, 1909...etc...
For more detailed information the Build and Revision numbers would be enough. It's all in Winver app dialog.

    Simple and easy to remember!

Now scuttlebutt says April 10, apparently with "reliable sources". Have I missed Microsofts press release? Aren't they usually made almost a month in advance with an official release date? And this update is supposed to come out next week?

It would make sense to be Tuesday 10th instead of inflicting another round of cumulative updates what with next week being traditional patch Tuesday.

If it's released on April 10th I think I'll pass until the 11th. The 10th is my birthday and I want to have a relaxing day and not one wherein I'm saying $@rt! &u*^@!!! to this pile of silicon and bits.
