Windows Projected File System / Windows File Protection???

I don't get it! The article is not clear!
No. They seem to be conflating it with Windows File Protection.

Yes! Windows File Protection has nothing to do with Projected File System. :)

OK, this is what I found:

    Git Virtual File System Architecture
(On Windows this will be called Projected File System)

I must say, this is AWESOME NEWS!!! Love it!
Sounds like One Drive files on demand on steroids.

Yep! Simply put it is a virtual file system layer, that speeds up stuff when working with millions of files.

Not good news for me. Still have sleep wake problem that started with Build 17107 and has persevered since!

Same here, I have made clean installations of all the builds since 17107 and, in my case, that doesn't fix the problem, the amount of comments about this in the Feedback hub is, I would say, respectable, but Microsoft doesn't consider it a known issue yet.

If I remember correctly they claim that they fixed that bug....I might remember wrong though...

I've put it in Feedback Hub after every build starting with 17107. Thanks for letting me know that a clean install didn't fix it either.

If they had written that article in Finnish it would be no less understandable :-D.

Does anybody care to explain it eli5 style?

I read (almost always) the list of general changes, improvements, and fixes for PC of all the builds and in none of them says anything about the sleep problem, many people on Twitter have written about this too, but in the Windows insider account doesn't say anything about it either.

As I said earlier think One Drive files on demand on steroids. A virtual filesystem which looks like it's fully populated but is filled when needed from a backing store.
