Yes, this is a known issue in current build. If the file is not available offline and try to access it, you get GSOD.

Some extensions still have bugs in this build, for example uBlock Origin, when the option that allows the extension to work in InPrivate mode is enabled, uBlock stops working in normal mode, sometimes it seems to be enabled but it doesn't block the ads and other times it simply disappears from the bar when the page is reloaded, reinstalling the extension doesnt fix the bug.

Thanks for response. I guess I had better read the initial fixes and problems list.

    You're welcome!

Most of us always forget to read the list of known issues and fixes. I also forget sometimes or don't bother at all, until I run into an issue, then I skim through the announcement to the last line. :) Mostly I only look at what's new.

I just installed and did it, Edwin. It's a bit awkward, but works. Trying to balance the S4 while pointing at a QR code, and tapping a gallery pic is not easy, for me!

Then, couldn't figure out where the &^%&^% did it import to? Not well documented. Ended up being a new folder under your Pictures. And they are there. C:\Users\<User>\Pictures\Imported from Photos Companion

Easier to Bluetooth it. But it works. Also have the regular Phone Companion on my S4 so when I take a pic, it automatically xmits to OneDrive Camera Roll.
    Yeah, it's awkward, needs work!

I haven't tried it, and may try it just to see on my Taimen, but I have been using Google Photos since back when it was still Picasa, and it already hashes my upload needs as it is, so, for me, this would be pretty redundant.
Yeah, I've got Google Drive, One Drive, UpLink, ShareLink... blah, blah, blah...
my photos are everywhere except in my hand!!!

Anyone else having an issue with the photo app not opening? It force closes for me.

Never mind. It turns out that this option was ticked for some reason in this buildAnnouncing Windows 10 Insider Preview Fast Build 17112 - Mar. 2-untitled.png

But upon deselecting that option, I now get this error but the pictures will open in paint, Photoshop or any other application. The default photos app seems to be the problem

Working Fine for me. I suspect you are not seeing thumbnails because the photo app is crashing.
