    #WindowsInsiders on build 17110: If you are experiencing issues finding or launching the Microsoft Store app on this build, please see this forum thread for details. Microsoft Store Application Broken - Build 17110 - Microsoft Community

    Hello Insiders!

    We launched build 17110 to WIP Fast this morning and have received a quick influx of feedback regarding the Microsoft Store application not functioning as expected. There are several experiences being reported:

    • Pinned tiles missing on Start
    • Missing pin from Taskbar
    • Application not showing in "All Apps" list / Start
    • Missing from Settings > Apps & Features

    We are actively investigating these reports. If you have this experience, please upvote the following feedback item:

    Feedback Hub - Windows Insider

    Also: Please *DO NOT* attempt to do a reset of the Store application. This will inadvertently remove all visible traces of the application from your PC. This is not an effective workaround and may make the scenario more difficult to recover from (TBD).

    More details will be share as they become available. Hold tight!

    Thank you,
    Jason

    Installed 17110 this morning in about 50 minutes. Store was broken in start and the Task Bar. I will try Chris' fix tonight when I get home. Using Kati's updated file an ISO was created. Everything else seems fine but I haven't played with it much.

    Hi,
    @slicendice :

    Speaking of security. What is the purpose of a pin number login? MS says "make your computer more secure by using a PIN" WTF? My 20 character PSWD with the full numerical, alphanumerical and symbol characters at my disposal is many times more secure than any 4-6 number PIN.
    PIN is more secure than password:

    Cheers,
    Seems I missed that one. Since one can use all characters that are available to normal passwords too, this makes it more secure, and because of the "marriage support" with TPM hardware.

    Thanks for the link!

    Okay. I need some help. I have exhausted everything I know to do at this point. As I reported in the last thread, my start menu has not worked since I updated to 17107.rs4. Everything else seems to work normally, except I can't get to settings, can 't add a new account and can 't seem to fix what is causing the start menu not to work, by running sfc, or using other Powershell options. I have tried to check my disk, load missing windows components and add a new account through Powershell, but none of those things have worked, and my start menu remains missing. So I also have no way to uninstall that last update or rollback my os. And I can't get to windows update. I tried running the windows update troubleshooter, and it said it fixed it, but it didn't. So I need some ideas from you guys, as I am at a stand still now. Thanks for all help.

    Try MS Apps + Start Menu full reset: PowerShell ISE Admin.

    Code:
    Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)'AppXManifest.xml”}

    I wonder how a broken store can get past their internal testing rings
