Got up after a longish work session and saw my XPS27 was about half-way through the "Working on updates" phase. Just fired off the Venue Pro 11. So far, so good. I'll follow up if anything interesting happens. Sheesh! Turn around to do some writing and they push a Fast Ring release out the door...

PS added next morning: everything went swimmingly on all updates. Perhaps this 1803 thing isn't a bizarre fantasy, after all! Seems both faster and more compact that previous releases, in fact. Good stuff!

Well, something obviously went wrong with my update, as my start menu does NOT work. When I click on start, nothing happens. So I have no start menu. I can click on pc on my objectdock to get to that, but not having a start menu sucks!!!!

I have old eyes and the use of a smaller font size makes your post hard to read.

Got it downloaded in 40 minutes and the ISO created in 4 minutes. Man, those dark days of waiting hours for WU to download and extract it are gone. The UUPDump method is such a god send, thanks again Kari for making this tool available!

UUP dump is a tool created by mkuba50, all the credits belong to him, he is a genius.

Sorry, I was not aware of using a particularly small font. My font size is 12. But I am on a 4k monitor, so maybe that has something to do with it. What I was saying is my start menu is NOT working. When I click on start, nothing happens. Is anyone else's start menu having any problems. Everything else seems to be working fine.

They are still making small cosmetic changes, they removed Reveal from the left panel of the hub but they added Acrylic:

I had a crash and revert. Not sure, but think it was related to Malwarebytes premium beta. Uninstalled Malwarebytes using their 'clean-up' tool, and checked for updates. Downloaded and installed without further ado.

Letting it settle for a while before I re-install Malwarebytes.

    Hello @Looey, :)

This would be normal if you disabled Hibernate.

Fast start up was unchecked before update to 17107, looked at it after update and fast start had a check mark again. Tried the powercfg -h off and got this. (elevated command, then non elevated and straight from the run command.)
