Windows Defender update still doesn't go through here. I don't think it's a sever issue since the download shows as OK.

From what i see Defender is already updated, might be something messed up with the windows update.

    Hello @Jack07,

I am still having the same issue as you. I have seen this happen before after installing a new build of Windows 10. I have cleared all definitions in Windows Defender and I have deleted the Software Distribution folder and I have restarted my computer. Windows Defender update is still failing. For now all I know to do is just wait and see if the issue corrects itself.

ps I seem to have the most current definition as well. I don't know why a new one is being offered and then failing. I also see the new update downloading without issue and then failing to install in WUMT.

A problem I reported on several days ago after installing 17093 was the next morning it would not boot. I used a previous image on that SSD and it booted fine. This morning, same thing happened, that particular SSD (Samsung 830) refused to boot once again. Did a restore to a different SSD and it booted just fine. Wonder if the Samy is going south?? It passes all checks etc.

So now I am installing 17101 and seems like every install has 2 files to install, one being the Definition update for WDA which installs afterwards. This has an error now and don't know why. The install of 17101 is @ 73% as of this minute.

The west coast is sparsly populated outside of the major population centres. Only really Vancouver, Seattle, Portland North of San Francisco.

Same here, Meebers. Computer refused to boot after installing Build 17101; same as after installing Build 17093.

What do you mean by "Did a restore to a different SSD and it booted just fine."? Did you do a backup and restore to a second SSD?

And, no, I don't think your SSD is going bad.
