No, I stated it exactly how I meant. You can not revert a Pro edition to Home...no matter how hard you try. And I am not referring to user files nor user applications (which has nothing to do with Windows edition). Same goes for Windows PE...it is impossible to revert the image to Home once it is made Pro. This is also why MS always recommend to start image creations from the minimum edition. All can be upgraded later, but never downgraded.
Sighs - what most people who accidentally installed PRO want to know is if they can get back to Home without reinstalling all programs etc. Most people say it is not possible but seemingly not true. It is totally obvious you cannot directly downgrade. Pointless discussing any further.
LOL!
How can one accidentally install Pro instead of Home without noticing it for weeks after install? (that is about how long it would take to install a ton of apps and collect enough personal documents and files for it to be worthwhile to attempt the downgrade instead of complete reinstall)
Makes no sense to me.
The same way that they can get infected with a virus and never know it - because they 1) don't pay attention to what is actually going on with their systems, and 2) they use their computes for so little, mainly things like Social Media and games (with a little email thrown in for good measure), that the rest of what is underlying in their operating systems means absolutely nothing to them at all.
I have a serious feeling that before too long, windows 10 will become Windows, just as Mac OSx has not increased to Mac OSxi and such ...
Maybe we need a sweepstake threadguessingusing our well honed skills of judgment to suggest when it will happen, If it happens - closest wins 20 Rep Points
Hi,
Commercials have already pretty much advertised as windows not really stating 10.
