I also have problems with sleep in build 17604, I said it in another comment, In build 17101 it works fine.
Mine works fine in 17604, and two computers with build 17101–just one computer that it won’t work on, that’s why I think I’ll go back to previous build and try re-download. If that doesn’t work I’ll do clean install

    re. the Ultra Performance setting..

    - if it's CPU specific, I guess my lowly i965 won't qualify..
    - or does it look for over-clocked settings in BIOS, on boot-up perhaps.. (??)

It is BUILD specific. Please read it again.

New features for Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

Last year, as part of the Windows 10 Fall Creator’s update, we announced a new edition of Windows designed for demanding mission critical scenarios targeting advanced users. As part of RS4, we are adding two more features for our most advanced users running these mission critical scenarios:

A new power scheme – Ultimate Performance: Demanding workloads on workstations always desire more performance. As part of our effort to provide the absolute maximum performance we’re introducing a new power policy called Ultimate Performance. Windows has developed key areas where performance and efficiency tradeoffs are made in the OS. Over time, we’ve amassed a collection of settings which allow the OS to quickly tune the behavior based on user preference, policy, underlying hardware or workload.

What I also notice is the build will not sleep—when I ‘sleep’ it, it shuts off and is dead. I know it’s not computer, because I can boot into my windows standard partition and sleep it and wake it up. I’m tempted to go back to previous build and then see if reinstall does anything- or do a fresh install
I have to same problem with sleep. The PC powers off and it isn't a normal shut down. It happens in 17101 and 17604. This PC has never done that before. Sleep works in previous builds.

Thanks. Seems like several people report this issue but most deny having it.

It looks like the VirtualBox display driver is working on this build. It failed to start on the previous two builds.

    17101

Finally installed 17101 last night and it completed without issue. It was a rather longer then usual process at about an hour. Used Kari's original process to create an ISO which seemed to have worked. The build seems stable an I will play with it over the weekend.

Just looking for some help, I posted a problem on:
Cumulative Update KB4074588 Windows 10 v1709 Build 16299.248 - Feb. 13 Post #75. Any answers will be greatly appreciated.

Release (17134.471) + Insider Preview Fast Ring (18298.1)

I decided to 17101 through my USB stick by clicking on the setup.exe file and I was presented with this weird message:

Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17101 Fast + 17604 Skip Ahead Feb. 14-interesting....png

Has this always been here? What does it mean?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

It means it's an Insider Preview edition. Just click on enable and setup will proceed.

    Cheers,
