No. They won't be listed in the update history if you've cleared it, but they have not been uninstalled. They will still be listed in the Control Panel under 'View installed updates'.

After resetting Windows Update according to the instructions in the tutorial, all you have to do is to "Check for Updates" in Settings. That way, you can see if any update installs without any hang-up.

    Great....

Worked like a charm, system is running very fast all of a sudden. Thanks for this information. On another note, every time I reboot, my default apps reset to default and always get EDGE which will not operate on my system. Any ideas?

What happens when you launch Edge? Is there any error message or it doesn't launch at all?

You can always try to repair or reset Microsoft Edge. There is a procedure for that, but before getting to the tutorial, I would like to understand what you mean by "Edge will not operate on your system".

    Reset

I've done the DISM on the apps with no result. This is what I get when I try to launch EDGE

    Hi,

    Other browser works fine ?
I'd uninstall Edge and reinstall it. Make sure you have a backup of your favourites before though.

    Cheers,

Here is a link to a tutorial on how to repair or reset Microsoft Edge when it is not working. Go for the "Repair" first and if Edge is still acting up, you can try the "Reset". With the latter, make sure that you backup your favorites first as @fdegrove mentioned.
