A few months ago, Microsoft clarified in no uncertain terms that Windows 10 Mobile is no longer a focus for the tech giant. Then, quite recently, it was confirmed that no new Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview builds would be released in the future. However, app updates are still being pushed out to users registered on the Insider Program.

Microsoft Photos is the latest app to receive an update on Windows 10 Mobile. This update bumps the app to version 18011.13438.0, and is currently only available for Insiders on the Fast ring.

The design has been refreshed, with the new layout quite reminiscent of the PC version of the application. This similarity seems particularly noticeable when the app is used in landscape mode. Similarly, new editing tools have been introduced to the app. Some of the new editing features like ''Improve'' and "Rule" have been present on the Windows 10 Photos app for some time.
