    What flavour of VM? Mine on VirtualBox work OK apart from the WDDM video driver.
    Hyper-V, which could be a problem. The least issues I've had was when I were using VMWare Workstation. I might switch back there. ;-)

    I give up...I can't even clean install in Hyper-V. I still get the GSOD with SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION

    UPDATE: I see a lot of similar issues at feedback Hub me and @Kari has for this build. For those who has actually been able to upgrade/Install has had a lot of other issues too. More issues than usually.

    Way to go MS! Great job!

    I'm sitting here looking at the HP logo on my HP 500-056 desktop! I've tried several times to boot the computer with only the HP logo showing up and the little circle of dots never shows ...

    When performing a hard shutdown, I have to press and hold the power button, which indicates it got further than the initial part of bootup, which would require only pressing the power button without having to hold it to shut down.

    Anyone else had this issue?

    @Wynona

    By the looks of it, you are experiencing exactly the same issue me and many others have, but without the SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION. I saw a few reports at feedback hub with this behavior for Surface and other devices too.

    Oh, phooey, what do I do now? I'm thinking the fastest cure is to make a run to BestBuy and grab a new SSD! Use it to install, then wipe my 500GB SSD!

    Why not use an USB stick with last good Windows and wipe your SSD. Or wait a bit, somebody might come with solution.
