I have no problem remote desktoping into my Windows 10 PC's. No problems doing it with Windows 7 either. Never used Vista, skipped that version.

Microsoft is about to kill off its weirdest Windows 10 experiment | ZDNet

If the rumors are true, Microsoft is about to ditch Windows 10 S. After struggling with this unmanageable operating system recently, I say good riddance.

    Weird

    Weird.

Yesterday I was reading articles that said that MS was going to introduce a stack more "S" versions of W10.

I was talking about remoting to a pc when in win pe mode in order to run a backup tool like Macrium Reflect that cannot run in Windows S mode.

From the link simrick posted, S mode it is from what I read. http://www.zdnet.com/article/microso...63357937977491
"it appears that Microsoft is about to kill off Windows 10 S the operating system and instead turn it into a feature: "S Mode on Windows 10."

This is it. You already had option to only install apps from Store. Now they are going all the way ie stopping win32 apls running etc when in S mode.

What is unclear is what would happen to existing 1O S users. Would they be upgraded to 10 PRO in S mode?

I am not sure I can see justification for retaining $49 upgrade to full PRO anymore.

Bear in mind this article is about oem partners and does not say anything abour retail licences.

Off topic but I once went to St Johns on business and asked if they took sterling in a hotel bar, and said yes but then refused because I handed over Scottish notes - LOL.
