    Hi,

So I guess it's yet another Windows bug.
Could well be a bug indeed. They had it fixed at some point but seem to have lost it again later on. Oh well, we've seen worse hey.

    Cheers,

All went smooth here on All Systems with Avast Installed even, no issues to report, tomorrow morning updating a few things on laptop, Bios/Firmwire related to battery, then Windows Update, then not sure what else

    Hi,

Disk Clean Up takes like forever again though.
Other than that all went fine.

    Cheers,
Same here! I don't understand why is it taking so long for disk cleanup to delete some files (2 gig in my case).
I wonder if we are not better off using a 3rd party application for this.

I have given up on Disk Clean, and I'm now using CCleaner instead. Much faster cleanup!

Quick and painless on both platforms - 30 minutes round trip.

Always grateful having read the less envious experience of others. Although on the laptop there was an unusually long black screen delay between the Dell logo's circus of dots and the "Working on Updates" version that did get my added nervous attention this time.

Also, I've found that when Windows 'looks' for updates on it's own schedule it'll often pass these KB's by a few times, and yet when I intentionally [Check for updates] they'll magically appear available when just moments before I was told 'Your device is up to date'. I use to think it simply a coincidence.

Curious. As if only when they see me lookn' for trouble do they figure I'm game for another adventure.

Again, like many, I'm just relieved to be safely at the 'next number'.

Installed on 2 machines and no problem so far. Winver for my main machine shows the following build number:

Just to say this (KB4058258) update installed successfully on my old Athlon machine, the one which failed to reboot after the KB4056892 release in early January.
