Yes, I know that, but, as I said in another comment, I already tried everything and it does not work:

When you turn it on a folder is created and adding bookmarks put them on the bar, what does it do that you don't want it to? Only problem I have with it, if you right click and choose hide, you have to go back in and turn it back on...
I think you have not understood, I just want it to work as it works in Chrome, the favorites bar only appears on the Start page and in the new tabs, it worked like this in build 17063, I showed it clearly in this comment:
Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Fast+Skip Build 17063 for PCI
If you look closely at the gif of that comment, the favorites bar hides automatically when you click on any favorite and it reappears when you return to the start page or when a new tab opens.
I also wished it worked as advertised, and I am willing to wait for a build where they get it straight, but I will stick with Edge and see how it goes.
@johngalt about Malwarebytes. I didn't have any Beta components turned on. I had trouble with 3.3.1 on a earlier Insider build and downgrading back to 3.2 solved the problem. I was hoping that Malwarebytes would work on this build but sadly it doesn't. I haven't seen anyone else post here or on the Malwarebytes forum about this problem so I imagine that there is something on my system causing this. Maybe tomorrow or Sunday I'll join their forum and report it. Not sure if I'll reinstall just to get the needed log file though. As for automatically updating on versions 3.2 and older It always use to notify me that a new version was available and ask if I wanted to update.
