18s from cold boot into selecting resolution for Enhanced session, typing login password and into desktop and launching Notepad on my main IP computer in a VM using Hyper-V

40s doing same thing as above but starting from Desktop and hitting restart. (No enhanced session prompt)

30s reboot back to desktop and starting notepad using shutdown /r /t 0

    I have the same two values (0 & 1 ) under Flighting.

Right click on Flighting > New Key > Override
Left Click on Override and in the right pane > Right Click > New DWORD (32 bit) > ImmersiveSearch
Right Click on ImmersiveSearch > Modify > Change it to 1
Thanks for that, Eagle51. LOL. I went to click on Edwin's linked article for reference also and that Brink (assuming) changed it to one of his tutorials. He snatches those kinds of things up straightaway. Really on the ball that guy!

Enable or Disable Cortana Floating Search Bar in Windows 10 General Tips Tutorials

Anywho, I used his tutorial reg file there to merge. Works like a charm as always. :)

BTW, it works whether the Cortana icon is shown or not on the Taskbar. Don’t like it there. WinKey/S works fine.

Another feature to learn, but not understanding it all yet. Keyboard navigating works well in it. Searching Docs to open works well. Searching a contact opens my default Office Outlook for an email addressed to that person. I’d think it would open the contact, then choose what one needs. It’d be great for telephony. An email opens up Edge to Outlook.com to view it. I’d think they’d keep that local in case there’s no network. It also shows up on the Start screen for typing. Perhaps there’s some advantages to this. More suggestions for the Hub.

Thanks for finding and starting all this, Edwin. :)
