Gave it a shot and no go. Same issue with VMware and it's a Microsoft bug likely created by fixing the install issue with virtualization.
Thanks for trying. Seems virtualization is a bit broken at the moment then.

Screenshot showing update on a Windows 10 build 17063 VM running inside a virtual ESXi 6.5 VM. After the update, I will upload the VM to my HP Proliant Server converted to a physical ESXi server. That will be interestingAnnouncing Windows 10 Insider Preview Slow Build 17074.1002 - Jan. 11-microsoft-windows-10-64-bit-2018-01-19-16-16-06.png because the HP has an Intel Xeon processor.

    Thanks for that, @Dave44. :)

Don't they release the ISO when released to slow ring? I see nothing on the IP download site. Not yet anyway.

Download Windows 10 Insider Preview ISO

Those are not patches for Insider builds.... But Of course, I have no idea if any / how many AMD systems were updated to Insider build 17074 before this build came out.
My HP Pavilion 500-056 was updated to 17074, Andre, and I had no problems at all. Alls I can say is that I got lucky. I was also updated to 17074.1002 with no untoward effects.

Wasn't the Intel patch introduced quietly for Insiders late last year? Who knows what is going on behind the scenes for hardware security?

Not so far as my system. Perhaps this build. I'll run the tests again now that you mentioned it.

Tell it to the guy 2 posts above the post You replied to, who had this problem, and to whom I was replying with the aformentioned post.
In my post I stated that I found that the problem was a setting that was changed and not a problem with Firefox.

Can I assume your HP Laptop runs on an Intel chip?
