Thanks Tony. Just did that and all of the entries are from 23 Nov 17 when I successfully updated to 17046.
You're welcome. Should have asked > Are you updating from 17046 or attempting to clean install 17074?

OK, here's screenshot. I've put some explanation inside...
Thanks, Andre. I see what you mean now. I set mine like that and it reopens the same every time. It's a mystery as to why you can't. I do believe window sizes are recorded in the Registry. Not sure.

If you work the way you describe, may I suggest to keep your Taskbar at the left to access open programs and programs. You can then leave windows full.

Strange thing I noticed about snapping is grabbing a window by its menu bar and bumping it up to the top snaps it full as it should, but grabbing the bottom most part when pointer turns to double arrow and bumping it down snaps it from top to bottom, but not side to side. After doing that it opens full screen next time opened, though.

Anywho, so much for using the mouse. You know how I feel about that. Keyboard is so much easier for me. WinKey/Tab for Timeline now or Alt/Tab.

Tony, you can snap it on the same way on the top too. This is what I'm talking about. Also, if you come too close to "top to the bottom" by resizing it normally, it reopens maximized full screen.

And I know all about keyboard shortcuts. This is the way I'm working, and there is a lot of other browser, which do it fine.

I see what you mean now. It's the same both ways. So what you're saying is that when you double-arrow snap it as we're talking about it used to open again in that position, but no longer does in this build?

no, sorry to mix this in Insider thread.. It's the same in FCU..

Should made separate thread, so no need to take this further. Just wanted to know, if it's common to others, since I'm kinda waiting in every new build to be fixed.

Try docking to the right side then closing and opening it. It will open maximised on the full screen. It the same in my FCU.
I have dual monitors, Keith. As far as docking, if I push it all the way over to the right, it disappears into the ether. If I pull it back so it's even with the edge of the monitor, close and reopen, instead of staying on the right hand monitor, it jumps back to the left most monitor, positioned all the way to the right. However, so far, Edge stays the same size as I made it.

All that said, I'm pretty sure I'm misunderstanding docking?

OK, I finally understand. Sort of. If I pull Edge all the way over to the right, and make sure it's pulled all the way to the top and bottom, when I close and reopen, it goes back to full screen.

However, unless I have it pulled all the way over to the right, and all the way to top and bottom, it stays put like I left it.

I know what you mean Tony. It was actually Andre that was complaining because of the way he works. It's just fine for me.
Me too, Keith, but an interesting test, to say the least. I understand Andre's complaint, though. I want things to work the way I think they should work! It really is weird the way Edge is acting, though. That really shouldn't be the case; Edge should be consistent with all the other MS apps in Windows 10.

Had to remove windows.old using unlocker again. Why is this still a thing. Just put a notice in Disk Cleanups system files that windows.old will not be completely delted.
I haven't had that problem yet in all my Insider Preview testing....

The problem is not only Edge, at least in my case, it happens in other apps such as Photos, Mail, Maps etc and it is quite annoying for me, a few months ago, when I made this comment, I was referring precisely to this problem:

Precisely I have problems with that in this build and in the previous ones, (also happens in build 16288), sometimes some modern apps like Photos or Maps don't remember the size with which I have left them before closing them and they open maximized.
