    update KB4090007

    Hi fdegrove

Thank you for your response. My eyes aren't what the use to be however if you've gotten a firmware update from your Mobo manufacture and have a clean bill of health e.g. protected from meltdown and spectre....thoughts?

    Hi,
@sneekez: It seems I accidentally replied to you in the wrong thread:

KB4090007 Intel microcode Cumulative Update for Windows 10 v1709

See postings #5 and follow ups.

HP just put up a new bios for my laptop. I installed it and I get this now when I run the InSpectre tool:

Windows Client Guidance against speculative execution vulnerabilities-capture.png

Update: I have experienced issues with this new bios and I'm not finding it easy to rollback or downgrade.

What sort of issues are you experiencing?

It seems a bit strange that Microsoft has yet to make additional CPU microcode updates available through the Microsoft Update Catalog. The microcode updates for Skylake processors were made available exactly 2 weeks ago.
