Thanks a lot ED , appreciate it..... I had actually heard that the Atom PCs wouldn't be updated any longer too but to my surprise it is still getting all Win10 updates .... though it was updated to 1709 ( 16299.192) months behind my other PCs it has happened.

Personally I am hoping it doesn't need the Update being an ATOM CPU as I don't want it to get any slower.....

I am disappointed there have been no updates for it since 2016 for sure .... I was told originally the battery could be replace for $200 to when needed in the future ....that was "Sales Speak" too it will cost at least twice that and there is a high likelihood of the glass breaking.

I had read I think on the HP forum and a few other places that people were getting OEM bios updates from asus and dell released in past few days that patched up the problem already and that intel had issued the fix to OEM manufacturers. Maybe they were mistaken (just a latest bios release?) or it was regarding a different issue - perhaps that ime issue.

That's good. I don't think I see mine listed at all.. (HP-15 F018dx).. I see some HP 15's but not that model sequence..unless I missed it or am misunderstanding it. It is a few years old and out of warranty. I've read some people say on the forum that HP may not update bios on older out of warranty laptops but they did recently update HP 15 bios (offered for my model) in November so maybe they can do it again?

Anyway, I'll check around 2/15 to see if anything becomes available since that seems to be the time for these other HP-15 models.
