Hi,
No, I am not and it is quite easy to prove too. I 've been hinting to that for a while now so I'll leave you to whatever you prefer to believe. You are 100% wrong.
Cheers,
InSpectre #8 was released yesterday (11/4/2018), showing information if MS patch is available:
Inspectre now lists, if MS microcode is available via MS patch..

InSpectre now shows if Intel has released a microcode update for your processor. It doesn't show if the update has been incorporated into a patch from Microsoft (or at least I don't see where it shows you that).
I've been lucky, I guess. Dell/Alienware has released 4 firmware/bios updates since mid December, each time fine tuning the microcode and engine management a bit more. Protected and good performance. Only downside I have seen is about a 5% drop in sequential SSD read transfer rate. I can live with that.
I think it only checks the Intel site - it's still up to the OEM or MS to include it in a released version if I understand that new functionality correctly
Yup same here, Dell has been on the ball with their firmware updates... I haven't benchmarked the SSD perfomance - but any hit it's taken, I haven't noticed in daily work -- not that I'm a power user by any means
