    Interesting. But while it lists the Core 2 Quad Extreme QX6700, it doesn't list the Core 2 Quad 6600, which is also vulnerable. So, still, not a complete list.

    No. Security update 4078130 was a specific fix to prevent unpredictable system behaviors, performance issues, and/or unexpected reboots after installation of microcode. Applying the February security updates on Windows client operating systems enables all three mitigations.
    Good I had absolutely no problems since they were applied, on any of my three PCs or VMs:)

    It's there now ...I have one too... almost at the Bottom....

    Intel Posted the new MicroCode Guidance Update Today , I just happened to check an old post's Link, so here is the PDF.... most Haswell and Broadwell chips finally have production MC's. , just need Manufacturer's to get the new Bios's out..... not sure if I want to be a Guinea Pig though :)

    Dell were quick to respond. I just updated the BIOS on my 4 year old Dell laptop (Intel i7-4500U CPU / Intel Series 8 chipset). Several security utilities report I'm now 'secure' against Meltdown & Spectre
