Now "SpectrePrime and MeltdownPrime" !. What else is awaiting for us around the corner?. A chance that these vulnerabilities are not easily exploitable, but the day a bad guy happens to do away with them, the impact is going to be huge especially on big companies. The way I see it, if that trend continues, we will all have to buy a new PC with another new generation processor by 2019 or 2020, just to stay on the safe side.

There is no way to know what is around the corner, because, again, these are novel approaches to create an exploit that no one had thought about 2 years ago. There is no way to guess what is around the corner when we cannot even see the corner in the first place.

I wonder how long the intelligence agencies have known about and been exploiting these vulnerabilities? I expect we will never find out.

That list shows server/workstation (Opteron and Epic) processors from AMD which is more disconcerning and practically all desktop and mobile ones.
