Am I right to assume that us folks on the fast ring will NOT see this update as MS has already has implemented the patch back in November? Nothing has come through the update service except for some Defender updates.

    FWIW
I'm in UK and at 14:00GMT haven't seen this yet on my test machine which runs standard Windows Defender
    OS Build currently 16299.125

Apparently this update is not compatible with SOME A/V offerings as has been mentioned.

I just had an online chat with Norton and for anyone who happens to be running Norton Security Premium (as I do on my IMPORTANT machines) it IS compatible.
    Might help someone.....

Downloaded it from the Update Catalogue, three PC's updated, two Intel and 1 AMD, ran a few benchmarks, no discernable difference in fact there was a slight improvement on the old AMD rig.

The Avast forum also confirms that avast is compatible after they issued a patch for it yesterday.

The micro updates are only delivered once every 12 hours so some avast users may need to run AvastEmUpdate.exe (as administrator) to force the update/patch to make it compatible.

I do like your board name...... presumably aimed at MS?

Still no offering from WU for any of my computers. Interesting.

Expected the usual update for Windows Defender this morning and this update appeared. Downloaded and installed without problems.

Updates went without flaw on 3 machines here. My main Asus I downloaded and the other two via WU. All's well so far.

FYI, Insiders don't get patch updates. Just Defender updates (if used) and new builds.
