I find 'Sets' handy, takes some getting used to, though.
I'll open everything I'm gonna fool around with in 'Sets' then lazily mouse my around!
(Course, seenin as I can't install 17063, I've gotta use the cheezy Stardock version!)

(Looks like shite with Windows Blinds though!)
I'll have to agree. It's fugly.

Any good news on a new PC build for you?

Hmm. I could've sworn someone was an active member of 8F for the longest time, but I guess I must be imagining things.

Anywho, I'd still be on 8.1 if they'd had continued it. Too much in 8.4 10 to pass up. Start Screen was the one of the greatest features that came out of Redmond IMO. Great for at-a-glance info with the push of the WinKey. I can still type in search as well if need be.

To be continued about Sets later, BTW.

I was an active member at 7F and VistaX64, not so much at 8F. Of the family, I was probably least active at 8F, come to think about it....

Sorry fot the confusion. That wasn't directed to or about you. Basically thinking out loud. :)

So the conclusion is mass confusion in Redmond. Does anybody think we get an explanation if 17074 is not released today?

John, that wasn't directed at you, but at me.

I was definitely active in EightForums (although I hated Windows 8.x) until I got accepted into the Windows 10 Insider Program. Why was I active? Basically, for the same reasons others were; it was the current OS, there were many issues, and we all were trying to make the best of it with an inferior OS (my opinion as well as that of others). One issue I was especially active in trying to figure out (although my computer didn't have the problem) was the sleep issue.

The bottom line, though, is that although I stayed with Windows 8.x from the time it was released to the public until I was accepted as an Insider, that wasn't nearly long enough for me to absorb its many idiosyncrasies, and certainly not long enough to remember them! In fact, my experience with Windows 8.x remains the shortest lived OS in my very long history as a Beta Tester of Windows Products and Services.

LOL > Conclusion is mass confusion.

Not sure, Marty, but we can now do Sets with the Settings app.
