Yes, BugMeister just mentioned that. LOL. I can remember that far back.

Will we get anything in FCU with the one we had the other day? I tend to think we won't.
Bound at the very least to get the Malicious Software Removal Tool.

Uhhh, got a new one for you - I posted this in the Today! thread because it is not directly related to this build, but anyway:

    Today [5] - Page 143 - Windows 10 Forums

So, When I received that stupid System_Service_Exception error it was because it could not log me in, for whatever reason. The odd thing is that, after all the cleanup and fan replacing, when I first powered on the machine it tried to autolog me in (or else it seems like it did, because I saw that PW incorrect multiple times immediately before the GSOD). This happened several times before it finally started taking me to the Lock screen - but after pressing CTRL ALT DEL and trying to enter my PIN, I could get 1-2 digits in and GSOD again,

At that point I power cycled and went to bed last night.

I'm going to go searching for anything similar to this on the Interwebs and see what I come up with. But that disassociation between my PIN and my account PW is ... disconcerting. Especially as it has happened more than a few times, and now (I assume) just threw me for a GSOD loop for several hours....

Surprisingly, John, I've never gotten the "bugcheck" on this AMD machine. Guess I'm just lucky. :)
Did you try to get this build on your machine Wynona? And did it install and run?

No harm done on your part. It was the trouble of my own making. I just have to look more closely. One of those moments where I sat back in my chair and laughed at myself.

So far as the bugcheck and the AMD block with 035, I was under the impression it was a UUP delivery flaw, but then again one couldn't install even with an ISO. I'm quite sure members have tried that. So far as I know my/our IP 17063 doesn't/don't have the data of the KB patch that FCU was given as seen below. Not sure why some say it does.

    Attachment 171486
Yeah, that was my thought s well - If it were UUP related, then the .ISOs should have worked.

And if M$ were working under an NDA, then it would justify the 'lie' about the issue being UUP....

I was surprised to get an update yesterday when I powered my machine off and then restarted it. It looked like an MS update by the limited screen info but I see nothing in the installed update history. It was a small one as it didn't take much time. It said it was updating when part way through the shutdown then it did more on the restart.

I guess if I am the only one to see something like this it can't have been an OS update??

Did it install Sets by any chance?

Run your "before" tests today, because if a new build is released tomorrow, it'll have the remediation for Variant 2, and surprisingly, MS is saying here that it's the one that causes slowdowns (on older hardware), not Meltdown.

Yes and a thrilling moment in my morning. Another update for Flash, too. Imagine that! Only 1,485,239 updates since its introduction.

    Hmmmmmmmmm, indeed.

Everything was fine - until I went to reboot. Then, all hell broke loose. Currently on my 5th GSOD thus far. Going to reset my BIOS, as removing all peripherals didn't do the trick....
