LOL. The way I feel right now I think we need whole new computing system architecturally. This one has really gone downhill so far as this is concerned.

There is a a lot of FUD around this issue. I just not clear on the relative vulnerability of AMD chips - which are the only kind I've bought since the Pentium 2. I'm figuring on a Ryzen system this year for sure.
BTW This build recently posted to buildfeed.net.
10.0.17072.1000 (rs_prerelease.180104-1429)
So either this (compiled last Thursday 1/4/2018 or 17073 compiled last Friday will hopefully be released by the Insider Team this week. Sure wish I could get my hands on the buildfeed builds :)
They were wrong. Meltdown, yes, but not Spectre Variant 2 (that's the CVE-2017-5715 shown in the screenshot a few posts up). That absolutely should be included in 17073, assuming we see a build this week, which given the track record over the last few months is probably no better than a 1-in-3 chance.
If you're lucky enough to have a system new enough to have had a BIOS update for Spectre Variant 2, then the OS fix for the same thing is irrelevant.
Tick...tock...tick...tock...
The West Coast is just rolling out of bed I'd imagine. Depending on where Dona is, we probably won't hear anything for another four hours or so about a build. Hope they prove me wrong. I need my Edge F4 history fixed. It's a pain reaching for the mouse too much. Man, I hate these first-world problems!
