I did what it said here:

    1. Press the Windows key and type PowerShell.
    2. Right click the PowerShell shortcut and select Run as Administrator.
    3. Type Install-Module SpeculationControl and press Enter.
    4. If you are prompted to install the NuGet provider, type Y and press Enter, and repeat if you are warned about installing from an untrusted repository.
    5. With the installation complete, type Import-Module SpeculationControl and press Enter.
    6. Type Get-SpeculationControlSettings and press Enter.

I ran the Powershell script commands from Shawn's post Windows Client Guidance against speculative execution vulnerabilities - Windows 10 Forums

    And got this:

Appears all is ok. The 2 false are good, nothing disabled.

    Hi,

Bingo. The reason it didn't work before is because you had scripting disabled. Which is the case by default.
Security-wise we're in the same boat though. I'm waiting for the OEM to update.

    Cheers,

You're AMD so I don't know what that implies, if anything.

Yup - it was the import command throwing it off.

No difference really. This is OS related not CPU brand.
