Thanks, Leo. Did you use the word "backup" in your search? I have no other folders like that.
What is that Protected folder about?
No, I went directly to the users folder, that protected folder contains a .DAT file called "backup", I have no idea what it is or why it is protected.

Someone on Twitter said he had this bug, I remembered that I had also seen it but I did not know how to reproduce it, now I know, it happens when the Action center is opened for the first time after a reboot, at least in my case.

    I'm not talking Windows 7, Cereberus . . . I want and need Windows 10!

In fact, I'm going to clean install Build 15063 in a while.

Edit: I'm gonna clean install Build 17063 in a bit.
Don't be surprised if there is no OneDrive. I've clean installed it now 4-5 times, and no OneDrive auto setup. It's listed in start-up as wanting to run, but the app isn't there. You have to go get it and install it yourself. Download Microsoft OneDrive

Look on righthand side for link to DL.

Thanks, TC, but I have OneDrive with my Office Pro Plus Insider version, so that one should still be there when I reinstall Office 365 2016. :)

Interesting. I have a completely different folder layout. There's a one NTUSER.DAT file in the open in mine.

I was poking around in my AppData folder and came across this OneDrive log file. It's rather funny with the obfuscation terms they use.

C:\Users\YourFolder\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive\logs\Personal folder with a file called ObfuscationStringMap.

    Terms like:
    FishEggZoo
    SwimSwimIcy
    DayYupGood
    TheFooEye

Well, it's been an interesting day, fellow Insiders. I usually start out in the FCU in the morning then switch over to IP. I've been hammering away on this thing for 12 hours using a multitude of apps with no major hiccups. I'd say it's a pretty good build for me. :)

    OK, update on 17063:

I can do whatever I want to, but the tray icon shows a warning flag on every reboot no matter what.

Unless I disable Fast startup - because my machine is an old BIOS based machine that cannot make use of Fast startup anyway, I can safely disable this.

I've tested it three ways to Sunday. Fast startup on = warning flag. Off = green 'check' label.

Mind you, again, this is only the icon in the system tray (aka notification area). There is nothing ever wrong with the actual items in WDSC.

Hopes this helps at least *some* of you out there.

A few days ago I watched my computer repeatedly restart itself, over and over again. But that was user error (as in major PEBKAC) - in my haste to set things up, I had the machine set to go to sleep when on AC and not when on battery (reverse of my normal settings) - And WinX did not like it set that way at all (I'm supposing because of the way the extended settings for my High Perf plan countermanded that simple screen and sleep mode settings in the Settings Panel....). Fixed that and I've been going pretty good since.

A lot of things are working a lot better than in 17046, so I am extremely happy there.

I just clean installed 16299 and threw 17046 on top - I was prompted by the system after upgrade that OneDrive needs my attention (it needs to run the upgrade).

Since I did that whole process about 4 times in 2 weeks, and I saw it every time, that makes me wonder - were you clean installing the IP builds directly?

Arrgh! I have the blasted warning triangle on my Defender icon and all looks good in the Security Center.
Actually, I have the same thing as Leo, and I, too, navigated directly to the folder:

When was the last time you clean installed, Hippy?
