Could be, but doubt that. My Acer T690's BIOS is legacy Phoenix R01-B3 dated 11/24/2006. Granted, there is a newer version from 2007, but I'm afraid to update it.

LOL, not quite as old as when Fred Flintstone was alive, but in tech chronology very close.

I didn't read through your entire thread, but is all firmware up to date?
Yes all the firmware is up to date but even if it wasn’t, I don’t think it would make that much difference because when I try and install from a bootable USB flash drive with any of the RS-4s on it, the computer just freezes on boot up with the windows logo and no spinning dots underneath.

    - not sure if it's a glitch with the Logitech G9 mouse's onboard presets,
    - but sometimes the scroll wheel pans the page sideways in Edge..
    - anyone else seen it?
    - a restart clears it, but there's no way of knowing if it'll run standard browser settings on start-up..

    - there's an option in Device Settings to switch off "scroll on inactive windows"
    - is that where the source of the glitch lies..??

I will try a boot drive from eSATA mate as soon as I get a eSATA to sata cable

Unless there is a way to convert a sata cable to esata then I could try it right now :)
Oops - for some reason I thought you already tried it....

Hippy makes a good point - is the firmware for all your HDs and such, plus any motherboard firmware, all up to date as well?

Interesting - but I am not sure if that might be the cause.

have an MX Master, and I've noticed similar behavior a while back - are you running the latest Logitech Options (6.72.344)?

This build seems to produce new issues with Logitech Gaming Software or just mess with the Mouse i have on serious annoying bug on my 1709 my Hard drives are driving me nuts, sometimes 1 of my 3 TB Movie HD will not show up okay reboot and darn booting takes forever meaning my Documents HD is missing (i moved all user folders to another HD) and waiting 5 min to login means no Documents drive.

I made the wrong decision the first time this happen to push the reboot button on my case, well Windows 10 does not like that much and the BSOD seems to suggest "don't do that again" but i read that this build should have fixed the problems with my HD playing hide and seek,
We fixed an issue where all types of dynamic volumes listed here wouldn’t mount properly or be accessible from Windows (the data remained intact but inaccessible on the volume on impacted builds).
So is it worth it, i have 2 serious annoying problems, my HD's playing hide and seek with every reboot, and my MS RC6 does not keep focus on the items/Movies/Music what ever in any Media player PD17 Kodi WMP and so on MP-HC what ever.
So what is the verdict i really do not want to start experimenting on my Game/Movie PC and this build even though it looks sweet, well as the saying goes THE GRASS IS NOT ALWAYS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE.

Did you try the install media (thumb drive?) switcharoo as gasseratef did?

And the Windows logo screen freeze is as Edwin gets, yes? If I remember his correctly.

Mine won't install because, all of a sudden, Windows deems my machine an insecure environment!

No Safe Boot, PCR7 binding not possible, no TPM... blah, blah, blah!!!

Shot in the dark here so please ignore if suggestion is rubbish. Could it be a .Net Framework issue?

Are you sure there's a Registry included when attempting to update?

    I know. Go away, right?
