This update makes reliability improvements to Microsoft Store and fixes an issue that could cause app update failures and cause Microsoft Store to generate unnecessary network requests.

Thanks @f14tomcat, well spotted. Just checked for updates and got it too. This appears to be another type of update to add to the list of those that are '...,required to keep Windows running smoothly...' and will be downloaded over a metered connection - note that it says 'awaiting install', not 'awaiting download' as the defender definitions says.

I just got it (KB4058043) this morning and installed very quickly on both machines. No restart was required as @Bree mentioned in his post above. Just another out of band update from MS.

Installed on mine. Nice and quick. Anything that makes the store and/or those native apps more reliable is a welcome update. In my experience the store and those apps far and away the most unreliable/unpredictable part of windows 10.
Everything was working until I installed KB4058043. I do not know if that was a coincidence or not, but after the reboot, I cannot access any of the computers on my workgroup. I do use Kaspersky anti-virus (reinstalled it just in case).
