Hyper-V in Windows 10 1709 FCU, enhanced session not working?

I have a fresh install of Windows 10 1709 Education N, and using the same image I made a Gen2 VM in Hyper-V.
I thought something was off and then I noticed that enhanced mode wasn't on at all, and it is greyed out in the menu. It is enabled in Hyper-V settings. I only found results about enhanced session crashing (in FCU), but mine's not on at all.
Anyone else experiencing the same issue, or is it perhaps working for you guys?

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...with-vmconnect I have went through this guide, and I am not presented with any extra connect options with vmconnect. It just goes straight to the VM.

Here are my Hyper-V settings: https://i.imgur.com/dheqZsB.png (the issue was there before adding the remotefx adapter).

In previous versions of Windows 10 (Edu N 1703), with the same exact steps that I've done here (same image for host + guest), enhanced mode worked right out of the box, no extra fiddling.

    RDP is turned on?

Ah, forgot to mention about that, again (also have a post on reddit).

Yes, RDP is on, and actually when using RDP to connect, enhanced session works. But not when using vmconnect.

I would try creating a new vm and connecting it to the current vhdx file in case something is corrupted. This only takes a few minutes.

Ok, that works. But when adding RemoteFX adapter, it stops working.. so perhaps they aren't meant to work together?

But I hadn't even added the RemoteFX adapter in the first VM when enhanced session wasn't working, and I tried adding it because I thought it might help.

    So... solved, I guess?

EDIT: but having RemoteFX + RDP enhanced works, so why not with vmconnect?
EDIT2: found this: Hyper-V 1709 aka 16299.19: Enhanced Session incompatible with RemoteFX 3D Video Adapter?
EDIT3: and this.. RemoteFX disables Remote Desktop Session Host Multi-user Login_

Great - great feedback - this helps us all.

Suggest you report back on other forum as well.

Incidentally, sometimes you have to shutdown vm and reboot for enhanced mode to kick in - maybe that was problem first time?

This may be what happened at first. I can't even remember my exact steps from the beginning because I've fiddled with everything (well, except for RemoteFX).

And I really didn't think that a new feature would otherwise be downgrading the experience... but really I should have tried disabling it first :).

It does look like there is an issue - not obvious in this case.
