    Memory

I just did my first Hyper-V machine. Fedora 23 Linux. near the end it showed low on resources. The original had memory set at 1024 and so before starting the machine again I changed the memory to 2048.
the host which is a HP all in one 23 touchscreen has 8 gig of memory.
can you not change memory once you install a machine?

According to MS documentation only these Linux distributions support dynamic memory although I think their list is not complete as it works on Arch for me also. I've no experience of Fedora though, sorry.

    Memory

Hi lx07 thank you for responding. after reading your suggestion of the link I went back and changed it back to the original and it not only ran but I am now installing it to the hard disk and everything is working just like on virtual box.
    I will mark it resolved.

Just a small detail to add here: You can always change the amount of RAM assigned to a Hyper/V vm, be it static or dynamic RAM. Two exceptions:
    1. You cannot change the amount of memory when the vm is running or paused
    2. You cannot change the amount of memory if the vm has any checkpoints created. If changing the RAM is necessary you must first remove all checkpoints

    Hyper-v Memory

    Good morning Kari
I did the memory change when it was shut down. Did not help. many problems durning shutdown.
I am not sure on the switch and perhaps with Fedora I need legacy?
Will try that. I am running win 10 pro build 10586. I will try again today perhaps.
Thank you. I am using the doc. from the forums all 32 pages. also went back in 8.1 and read what you put there.
    Larry.

    Memory

    Kari;
Thank you. also I had an external drive that I was putting all the files on and perhaps the I/o was causing some slowness?
I will add to the processors and stay with the reg. switch at first.

Kari; I gave up for now. I cannot get the connection to work. see some others in the past had the same issue.
All of your work on the tutorial is great. I guess at 78 I am too thick headed to grasp the idea on networks.
