VBox no internet on Windows 10 guest machine

    I have installed Oracle VBox 7 on Windows 10 v.10.0 18363 build 18363 x64 based.
The OS has booted successfully into VBox, but I have no Internet connection on the guest machine . Your tutorial only covers the VBox OS installation, but there is no info on how to set up a network/Internet connection. I looked evrywhere to find a solution, unsuccessfully. Can you help please?

    Thanks

You need the network adapter attached to NAT.

A virtual machine with NAT enabled acts much like a real computer that connects to the Internet through a router. The router, in this case, is the Oracle VM VirtualBox networking engine, which maps traffic from and to the virtual machine transparently.

    Thank you so much

I am not too familiar with all this.
I had already gone to the Network settings and selected NAT, without seeing the PORT FORWARDING option. I clicked on it, but I don’t know:
1, What to write in for Host/Guest IP’s/Ports
    2. The guide at 6.4 speaks of Commands for creating and starting the NAT Network, with examples.
but I don’t know where and how to execute these commands.

    Thanks

This is what my network settings are for my Windows 10 Pro VM on VirtualBox. I started with NAT Mode but then switched to Bridge Mode. Note I am running this Windows 10 VM on my laptop which has a WiFi connection to my router.

How do you choose between NAT and bridge mode for your VM network?

    NAT Mode:

    Bridge Mode:

    Thanks a lot
I didn't realize I had to select the "cable connected" option. Now I am connected. I am working on importing my FAVORITES into the VM.

Does a VM connection really offer a better protection against for malware ? I hope so.
If so Ill use the VM for Internet and downloads traffic.

    You kave been really helpful.
