Cannot create medium storage on VirtualBox when creating VM at D drive

Hello! So I have recently installed a SanDisk USB flash drive for my computer. But when I am trying to create a virtual machine on virtualbox, I get an error message saying:

"Failed to create medium storage at D:\(FOLDER NAME)\(FOLDER NAME)"

So I am looking forward to fixing this problem. How do I fix it and how do I save my virtual machines to my D drive? Thanks in advance!

What format is the SanDisk USB flash drive? If it is formatted as Fat32 then there is a maximum file size limit of 4GB, which is obviously far too small for creating a VM. Reformat it as NTFS and you should be able to use it.
