If you have type 1 hypervisor Hyper-V installed, it does not play well with virtualbox type 2 hypervisors.

Some type 2 hypervisors can now run with Hyper-V installed but they are very slow (cannot remember if vb is one of them). They run much faster with the type 1 hypervisor turned off.

Of course.

All cores will be available to the VM and a slider will allow the recommended core count to maximum half of all cores to the VM, leaving the rest for the host.
So with HT on, in your case, you will be presented with 12 cores total where up to 6 can be assigned to a VM.

I'm assuming your virtual box is VirtualBox. For other hypervisors you will have different UI and options but yes: all your cores will be available to use including the HT ones.

I always turn off the type one hypervisor if I want to use virtualbox, or vmware, and most android emulators.

It will work.
I don't expect any issues from hyperthreading. In fact you will have more available cores with hyperthreading.
In case you're curious, speed-wise: test it with hyperthreading and without and decide for yourself.
