Hyper-V and network problem, need advice pls

    Hi!
I setup Hyper-V on my server where are other users access through VPN and Remote Desktop.
But after installing an OS in Hyper-V and enabling the LAN to have access to Internet from the virtual machine, the users can't access anymore through vpn and Remote Desktop.
If I install AnyDesk or TeamViewer there is no problem to access the server.
I don't understand what or why is this issue?
It is a MUST to have access through VPN and MS Remote Desktop.

I also tried all options I have in Hyper-V to create the LAN connection from the virtual machine to the outer world but with the same result.

How can I achieve, does the virtual machine act as a new phisical machine on the network?
My phisical network IP range is 10.0.1.1/24.
The newly created Windows 2019 Server in Hyper-V should also have an IP address in that range like the phisical network, and connect to the phisical network with an IP let's say 10.0.1.100.

How can I achieve this but not to interrupt the actually VPN and Remote Desktop accessibility?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

Are you using the default network switch. By default, that is behind a NAT and on a different subnet. You have to set up vm with an external switch on same subnet as host pc.

Of course, this assumes any client pc is also on same subnet as pc running Hyper-V.

I know you can run Hyper-V sort of without the gui on servers. If you are running it like that, I am sorry, I do not know how to set things up.

So are you using the Hyper-V gui?

    I use the gui.

    If I understood you correct:
    1. Creating an external switch
    2. The host pc ip is 10.0.1.10/24 then my external switch can be on 10.0.1.100/24
    3. In the vm os I can then use a static ip let's say.10.0.1.110/24
And this should solve my problem.
    Am I correct?
