    Works for me

Guest can can reach guest at 192.168.254.1 and Host can reach Guest at the relevant IP address got via DHCP from your network.
My understanding is Win Guest can connect Host on browser at Host IP address 192.168.254.1. Now it doesn't work but Win Guest can visit Internet on the same browser.

For Host to connect Win Guest, I think needing to set up a static IP address on Win Guest. I don't need this feature, one way traffic satisfying my need.

If you've still got problems :

Check Firewalls, SMB1, Virus protection software (if using) whether you allow Windows remote access to the machine etc. All I know works for me without issue.

Here's the official documentation from Red Hat (now part of IBM)

B.9. Guest Can Reach Outside Network, but Cannot Reach Host when Using macvtap Interface Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 | Red Hat Customer Portal
I'll clone a new Win Guest for another test.

    On Host, do I need to run again;
    Code:
    nano /tmp/isolated.xml (XML file)
    creating isolated.xml ?

I think after rebooting Host, it may be gone?

    Hi there
That only needs to run ONCE on the HOST -- you need to add that Isolated network on ALL the GUESTS.

Turn off Windows Firewall on the Guests -- I'm not a security expert but until I turned off the Windows firewall I could only access HOST FROM GUEST but noit the other way around (HOST couldn't reach Guest) -- seems to be something new in W10 and W11 as I didn;t have that problem before,

After switching off Firewall it works perfectly -- from HOST use the 192,168.254.xxx for access TO GUEST from HOST

    so FROM HOST TO GUEST

    From GUEST to HOST

On the GUESTS I'd advise also running the virtio drivers from the virtio windows iso.

For the NIC's in THE VM config use virtio instead of e1000 -- do this after installing the Virtio drivers on the GUESTS.

Install openssh-server on the GUESTS and ensure service is started. (via add optional features) and enable network discovery. Check also SMB1 and SAMBA definitions. If required ensure ssh(d) daemon is running on the HOST.

Anyway perhaps you can come back with some suggestions about what I need to do to re-enable the Windows firewall -- Networking I understand but Windows security ?????????

Finally got to the Firewall bit -- was messing about with W11 -- turn off the default - Block all INBOUND connections not subject to a rule is set by default -- unblock those as shown. Outbound connections are allowed by default.

Now it works properly with firewall enabled. HOST TO GUEST no problems -- GUEST TO HOST - no changes that always works.

Even can use the hostname /computer name of the GUEST via SAMBA from HOST.

If running multiple VM's on the same Host concurrently assign different IP's on the 192.168.254.xxx network for each.

HOST access from the GUESTS is for all of them 192.168.254.1

Now time for a nice Lunch Time drink -- free today !!!

    Cheers
