My guess at this stage is that you are missing one of the clicks perhaps on SET
Manage Virtual Memory Pagefile in Windows 10

OR you are short of available free space on the drive

OR there is something using a heavy amount of virtual memory and the 6.01 refers to available or IN Use

Check as per the tutorial please

    Hi there
What Virtual Machine program are you running -- HYPER-V, VMWare, KVM, VBOX etc. Assigning Virtual memory to a VM these days merely means that the HOST OS will always ensure that there's that amount of RAM available to the GUEST (as a Maximum) -- most modern VM Software these days uses the concept of Dynamic RAM allocation and will essentially grab what it needs up to your specified limit. However this doesn't mean you can go Bonkers and assign 2 VM's 32 GB RAM each on an 8GB laptop as there's also an overhead and if you hugely over commit VM RAM your HOST OS will go into a state known as "Thrashing". This will usually manifest itself as a condition where HDD / SSD / Disk I/O system light is on almost continuously and zero response from the machine.

Check the VM configuration file to see if dynamic RAM is / is not enabled and how much RAM is actually allocated. In VMWare the file is a vmx file, in HYPER-V and KVM the config files are xml files which can be opened easily enough in a browser like firefox. Using the VM's GUI for configuring the VM is OK for most things but doesn't always include all the options available.

    Cheers

This is on a host or on a vm?

Either way, we don't know how much ram do you have.
If you have 32GB ram then assigning 1.5x virtual memory is a bit overkill since that's a lot of disk space.
The OS these days doesn't need that many and also behaves differently for SSDs when assigning virtual memory. So the 6.01GB is then the automatic assigned value - this is fine.
