You could use a win7 pro or win8 pro key if you have any lying around

If you are running Windows 10 HOME you can enable Hyper-V using the following .
Just paste the following in a text file and save it as a .bat file. run it as an Administrator. It enables Hyper-V. Don't waste your money on PRO.

    pushd "%~dp0"

    dir /b %SystemRoot%\servicing\Packages\*Hyper-V*.mum >c:\users\public\hyper-v.txt

    for /f %%i in ('findstr /i . c:\users\public\hyper-v.txt 2^>nul') do dism /online /norestart /add-package:"%SystemRoot%\servicing\Packages\%%i"

    del c:\users\public\hyper-v.txt

    Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:Microsoft-Hyper-V -All /LimitAccess /ALLpause

Note if Edge will not let you download the .bat file. use another browser.
Thank you very much. We needed such a thing, as soon as I can I use it right away ...

Are these backups Windows XP or 7?
    How were they made?
    Either way:
It might be possible to use same tools and restore in the VM itself.
Just place the backups on an external USB / HDD that you can give to the VM and access them from there.
I use the same method to restore Macrium Reflect images in VMs.
They are backups made by windows 10 20H2, I put an image above the buttons used.

    @all
I opened a discussion on the virtualbox forum, I went a little further. I do not know what to do. Do I just keep going on that forum? I would not want to miss your contribution. If I can I leave the link ... I ask a moderator how to move ...

can i continue here for hyper-v?

Please do continue for Hyper-V discussions. I always test my backups, even backups from my other computers in Hyper-V. This is on a "Windows Home" computer using the above process to enable "Hyper-V".

on virtualbox it works forums.virtualbox.org. I restored the backups made with the system image (from the old windows 7) still available in windows 10. Now I try with Hyper-v. Does anyone know if it's faster with Hyper-V?

Hyper-V is generally more efficient but depending on your pc spec, it may not be that noticeable.
